Questions about Kronos Revenue. Answered the way a specialist would answer them.
These are the questions practices actually ask before switching. If your question is not here, call (914) 705 6830 or use the form on our free review page.
- Surgeon founded
- HIPAA compliant · BAA on request
- One claim per CPT at federal IDR
Switching from an attorney
- How does the handover from my attorney work?
- We handle transition documentation and coordinate in flight cases. Most NSA attorneys are happy to step back from IDR work — it is a low margin side practice for them.
- Will my attorney push back?
- Rarely. IDR is administrative work most litigation firms do not want to scale. Your relationship for other legal matters stays intact.
- What about in flight cases?
- We can take over active IDR disputes when deadlines allow and complete submissions or responses on your behalf.
- Can I try Kronos before fully switching?
- Yes. Week 2 of onboarding runs your first 5 claims in parallel with your current process as a proof of concept before full handover.
Pricing
- Why are there no published rates on the website?
- Done for you pricing depends on your volume, specialty, and how much your current attorney is leaving on the table. A flat published number would be wrong for most practices. We quote on a consultation call.
- What does the monthly retainer cover?
- Active claim management, EOB parsing, IDR filing, tracking, negotiation, and monthly reporting for your practice.
- What if I have a low volume month?
- Month to month engagements are available. Per claim fees scale with volume so low months cost less.
- How does Kronos pricing compare to a 20% attorney?
- Attorneys take twenty cents on every dollar you recover — indefinitely. We quote a consultative fee to your volume. Most clients keep about ninety cents per dollar won, not eighty — before counting IDR disputes we win that contingency firms lose.
Contracts
- What is the contract term length?
- Month to month engagements are available. No long term lock in required.
- What are the exit clauses?
- You can exit with reasonable notice. We provide transition documentation for any in flight claims.
- Do you sign a BAA?
- Yes. A Business Associate Agreement is signed during Week 1 onboarding before we access any PHI.
- Who owns the claim data?
- Your practice retains ownership of all clinical and billing data. Kronos operates as your IDR agent under the engagement letter.
Process
- How long does onboarding take?
- Four weeks from BAA signature to full handover, with a proof of concept in Week 2.
- What is the ongoing communication cadence?
- Live support 9–5 M–F, 24 hour email response, and a monthly report with quarterly review calls.
- Who is on my file?
- A dedicated RCM specialist trained by Dr. Abrahams, with escalation to Heisha Rivera (Director of Revenue Cycle) and Dr. Abrahams for high value cases.
- What do I need to provide to get started?
- Forward EOBs or grant secure EMR access, share your specialty mix and provider count, and sign the BAA and engagement letter.
Recovery
- What happens if a claim loses at IDR?
- We review the determination, advise on appeal options where available, and factor outcomes into your quarterly recovery review.
- Can a claim be re filed?
- In some cases yes, depending on the determination basis and statutory windows. We advise case by case.
- What is your typical win rate?
- We publish recovery rates on our Results page. Exact figures are confirmed during your free case review using your claim data.
- How is Kronos different from batched attorney filing?
- We file one claim per CPT code — the way federal IDR was designed. Batched filings are the most common reason generalist firms lose.
Security
- Is Kronos Revenue HIPAA compliant?
- Yes. We sign a BAA with every practice, encrypt data in transit and at rest, and restrict PHI access to assigned team members only.
- Who can see our PHI?
- Only the RCM specialists assigned to your account and leadership for quality review. No PHI in logs or third party analytics.
- How is data handled during onboarding?
- Secure EMR access or encrypted EOB transfer. All access is documented under the BAA signed in Week 1.
- When should we use Sydra vs Kronos Revenue vs Sydra + Kronos Support?
- Choose by who operates the workflow, not volume alone. Sydra Self-Serve fits teams comfortable running software in house. Sydra + Kronos Support adds live specialists and escalation on tricky cases. Kronos Full-Service on this site handles every claim end to end when you want zero biller time on IDR. - Is Sydra a better fit if we want to run claims in house?
- If your team wants to operate NSA IDR software themselves, Sydra offers the same specialty depth as a self serve platform — prep in under 5 minutes per claim instead of 30. For software plus a Kronos specialist on call, see Sydra + Kronos Support at sydrahealth.com.
